Highly successful organisation in the not-for-profit sector is now looking to recruit a Business & Finance Manager to have responsibility for its finances and operations.  The role will involve you in all aspects of finance, and in addition, business management and promotion of the organisation.  There is an excellent professional work environment and a competitive salary and benefits package.  Your contribution will be to ensure that the finances are run in a highly efficient manner with a constant eye on improving systems and procedures.  The position offers a real opportunity for career development. Specifically, as the Finance Manager, you will be supported by a Finance Assistant and report to the Board of Directors.  You will be preparing monthly management accounts; controlling the ledgers and reporting on cashflow.  You will also prepare quarterly VAT returns, monthly staff payroll and manage the fixed assets register.  Overall, maintaining tight control of the finances, ensuring compliance and adopting a proactive role in developing financial systems. Your role will also see you producing data to evaluate operational effectiveness for teams and project managers, agreeing and reviewing budgets, and working to make full use of the project management software. Looking to enhance its highly respected position, the organisation is undertaking a range of marketing for its commercial services.  You be involved here in reviewing policies and managing customer retention policies.  Experience of contract tendering and project management would be highly valuable here. To be considered for this position of Business & Finance Manager you will need to be at least AAT Level 4 qualified, and have demonstrable experience in a similar financial and business management role.  Confident communication and diplomacy skills are essential along with a positive approach to work.  A high level of IT literacy is expected: accounting software, MS Excel, and the ability to learn new and specialist systems.
