Due to continued branch expansion, Parker Building Supplies, Sussex and Kent's leading independent Builders' Merchants have vacancy for an Internal Sales Advisor at their Crowborough branch. This is a full-time role, working 45 hours a week and Saturdays on a rota basis (paid at overtime rate).

What will I be responsible for?

In this role, the Internal Sales Advisor will be speaking to existing customers with a view to closing sales, as well as the development of new opportunities through cold-calling and dealing with lapsed accounts to re-introduce the company. You will also be involved in the negotiation, production and chasing of quotations.

You will be responsible for all things sales related both on the telephone and face to face on the sales counter, working with the other internal staff to help create a proactive and sales orientated culture.

You will provide support to the external sales representative, raising quotes and orders, providing back up support while they are out on the road. You will be sourcing non-standard products, negotiating prices and responding to a wide range of queries from customers (both trade and retail).

Who are we looking for?

The ideal Internal Sales Advisor will have a good rapport with customers, be target driven, have good communication skills, be friendly, outgoing, self-motivated and must be able to work well within a team.

The successful applicant would ideally have experience with building materials but training will be given.
